Canon PIXMA MX892 Drivers Download
Canon PIXMA MX892 Drivers Download– Canon Pixma MX892 is an all-in-one inkjet printer that focuses on providing solid performance in printing, scanning, copying and sending faxes. For light usage, this printer is a slim device with excellent functionality.
This capable device offers great print quality for documents and photos. The printing speed is not bad, but it is not extraordinary at 12.5 pages per minute for black and white prints and 11 pages one minute for color prints.
The Canon Pixma MX892 scans and copies and all all-in-one printers on average, if it is slower than the best. It copies at the rate of 12.5 copies per minute for black and white and 7.5 copies per minute for color copies.
In addition, this multifunction printer allows for multiple scanned documents, so when you feed a piece of paper through the automatic document feeder, this printer will scan both sides instead of forcing you to flip and scan two pages separately. If you need to prepare multiple copies for important classes or meetings, slow copy speeds make this a curse from procrastinators.
The Canon Pixma MX892 prints, scans, copies and sends faxes and many other all-in-one inkjet printers, but doesn’t offer much to distinguish. The design and interface are fine, but there is nothing special about this printer.
Fortunately, Canon offers a lot of support for all of its products, so you can browse the FAQ, download the driver or print a new user manual.
The Canon Pixma MX892 works fine, which turns out to be its biggest mistake. Everything works, but nothing stands out. Maybe only for someone who uses a fairly mild printer and wants good print and scan quality. However, that may not be the first choice for any business or office arrangement.
Setting up Pixma MX892 is easy; and MFP supports USB, ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity. You can set Wi-Fi via WPS, although the 3-inch LCD gives you the choice to choose a network and enter a password to complete the same settings. Canon combines the Solution Menu EX software, a package that can handle everything from photo albums to scanning. You can push-scan to your computer from the PixmaMX892 control panel or remove the scan via USB / PictBridge, Memory Stick, Secure Digital, or Compact Flash media. You can also print directly from media that is loaded into this port.
Pixma MX892’s paper handling feature is very good. In addition to the 150-sheet main tray, it has a rear vertical feed that can hold another 150 sheets.
Pixma MX892 performance is quite good. It prints monochrome pages at a speed of 8.1 pages per minute from a PC, and at 8.3 ppm from a Mac. Snapshot-size (4-by-6-inch) photos print around 3.2 ppm on plain paper, and 1.9 ppm on glossy photo paper. Full-page photos, printed on a Mac, come out in less than two minutes. Scan and copy speeds are adequate.
Pixma MX892 uses a five-tank ink system consisting of black, cyan, magenta, yellow, and black photos. The $ 16 black lasts for around 339 pages, resulting in an estimated cost of 4.7 cents per page. Each color cartridge costs $ 14. Cyan, magenta, and yellow cartridges last from 486 to 555 pages, and one page with all four colors at an estimated cost of around 13 cents. Black photos will last for 666 4-by-6-inch photos, per Canon property test (or donate a very small amount for ordinary documents). For Pixma MX892 credit, the cost of this ink is cheaper than the average for a standard size cartridge.
The output quality of the Pixma MX892 has the same warm (and slightly orangey) color temperature as most of the company’s printer features. For most subjects, this gives a friendly impression on graphics and photos, but faces and flesh tend to look too saturated. The effect is more visible on plain paper than glossy paper. Dark areas tend to show more detail than prints made with cheaper Canon printers that do not have black photo cartridges. The text is quite sharp, even in draft mode, although dense areas tend towards gray rather than black.
Canon Pixma MX892 automatic printing and duplex scanning is excellent, as is its robust construction, output and speed. This will best serve one or two people who print with light to moderate volumes. However, competitors at the same price from Epson and HP offer similar or better features at approximately the same price, with the option to buy high-yield ink.
PIXMA performance
The MX892 can produce a maximum resolution of 9,600 x 2,400. We are not disappointed. When printing a series of high-resolution test images, gradations of color are continuous and there are absolutely no signs of pixelation or dithering.
But of course it takes time; A 4-inch-6-inch print takes about one minute on average, and about twice that for an 8-x-11 image. Canon estimates the cost for color printing with MX892 around 13 cents per page and assesses the speed of color printing at 9.3 pages per minute. In addition to dye-based inks for CMYK, Canon uses a second black pigment-based ink cartridge for black only printing to increase cost effectiveness. 512-black nozzle-only nozzle spewed out a maximum resolution of 600 x 600 dpi at a rated speed of 12.5 ppm.
In addition to supporting Apple AirPrint (for printing from iPad and the like) and Google Cloud Print (for direct printing of Google Docs), Canon also includes PIXMA Cloud Link, which allows printing via Google Cloud Print to MX892 (or other PIXMA) Printers that support Cloud Link ) from any device connected to the Internet. This feature works with Picasa and other image and web-based template services to print directly to MX892 without a computer.
Other software allows sharing of the printer with anyone anywhere, and printing images and film frames from Canon cameras directly or through a series of photo filter effects such as miniature, fish-eye, and soft focus effects. The MX892 can also print from or scan almost any type of memory card or stick, including USB, SD, microSD, miniSD, SDHC, Picture-xD Card, Memory Stick (all types), MMC and even CompactFlash.
For small offices, the Canon PIXMA MX892 Wireless Inkjet all-in-one printer with Ethernet, USB and Wi-Fi interface (plus Bluetooth option) is quite flexible, but the cost per page is rather high and paper capacity is low. It holds 150 sheets in the main cassette plus 150 sheets in a multipurpose feeder. But at a price of $ 199, the MX892 presents high-quality color printing and would be a good MFP choice for organizations that are not too dependent on large volumes of printed material.
