Canon PIXUS MG6330 Driver Download

IJ Canon– Let me start with a confession. I hate buying printers. Every time I’ve bought one in the past, it felt like I was signing up for a slow, annoying relationship full of paper jams, weird error codes, and ink that costs more than gold. So when my last printer finally died—mid-print, of course, because that’s how they always go—I put off buying a new one for weeks.

But I couldn’t avoid it forever. After way too much time reading reviews late at night, I picked up the Canon PIXUS MG6330. And honestly? It kind of surprised me.

Opened the box

When it arrived, my first thought was, “Okay, this is bigger than I pictured.” Not huge. Just… solid. It has this glossy black finish that looks nice on my desk, but I’ll warn you—it shows every single fingerprint. If you’re the type of person who wipes down your TV remote, this might bother you. I’ve already given up caring.

Taking it out of the box felt fine. Nothing rattled. The packaging was simple and easy to recycle, which I appreciated more than I expected.

Setting it up didn’t make me angry (rare)

I’m not a tech wizard. I’m the person who usually ends up watching three YouTube tutorials before giving up and calling a friend. But setting up the Canon PIXUS MG6330 was surprisingly painless. Everything was labeled clearly. The little screen on the front—not a fancy touchscreen, just a simple display—walked me through each step.

The only hiccup? I tried to rush through the ink installation and put one cartridge in the wrong spot. That was my fault, not the printer’s. Once I slowed down and actually read the little diagrams, it clicked.

Within half an hour, I was printing a test page. That never happens for me. Usually I’m on hour two, sweating, with three different error messages on my laptop.

What it’s like to actually use this thing

Here’s where I got genuinely happy.

The first real test came when my niece needed to print a school report. Black text on plain paper. Nothing exciting. But when the page came out, I remember thinking, “Wow, that’s sharp.” The letters were dark and clean, no smudging, no weird streaks. She didn’t care, of course. She just grabbed it and ran off. But I noticed.

Then I tried printing some photos from a trip to the mountains. And this is where the Canon PIXUS MG6330 really won me over.

I printed a 4×6 of a sunset I’d taken. The oranges and purples looked rich but still natural. Not fake and oversaturated like some printers do. The sky had depth. The trees in the foreground stayed dark without turning into a black blob. I actually said “oh, nice” out loud. To myself. Alone in my room.

That’s when I realized I was emotionally reacting to a printer. Weird, I know. But it felt good.

The ink situation (sigh)

Okay, let’s talk about the thing nobody likes talking about. Ink.

The Canon PIXUS MG6330 uses five separate ink tanks. That’s black, cyan, magenta, yellow, and an extra photo black. This is actually a smart system because when one color runs out, you only replace that one. With my old printer, I had to toss a cartridge that still had half its ink left just because the magenta was empty. That always made me feel ripped off.

So five tanks is better. I genuinely appreciate it.

But—and this is a real but—the ink isn’t cheap. I printed about 25 or 30 photos over a long weekend, and when I checked the ink levels, the magenta was already down to half. My heart sank a little. That’s just the reality of printing photos at home. It costs money. The printer itself is affordable, but Canon gets you on the refills.

That said, because you can replace only the empty color, it stings less than before. Still stings. Just less.

One small thing that annoys me

I have to be honest. This printer falls asleep like a teenager. You know how some people take forever to wake up in the morning? That’s this printer.

If it sits idle for a while, it goes into a deep sleep. When you send a print job, it takes about 15 or 20 seconds to wake up, stretch, and finally start printing. It’s not a long time. But when you’re in a hurry and just want one page, those seconds feel like minutes.

I’ve learned to press the power button first, then walk away and grab water. By the time I’m back, it’s ready. Small adjustment. Still annoying sometimes.

Printing from my phone felt like magic

One night I was lying on my couch, and I remembered I needed to print a return label. I didn’t want to get up. I opened the Canon PRINT app on my phone, selected the label, and hit print. I heard the printer whir to life in the other room. By the time I walked over, the page was already out.

Good and the not-so-good

Let me just list what I actually feel, not what a spec sheet says.

What makes me happy:

  • Photo quality is beautiful. Seriously. I’ve framed two prints already.

  • Five ink tanks mean less waste. That matters to me.

  • Wireless printing works almost every time. No frustration.

  • Two paper trays are a small luxury I didn’t know I needed. Plain paper in one, photo paper in the other. No swapping.

  • The screen is simple. No confusing menus. Just buttons that make sense.

What makes me sigh:

  • Ink is expensive. You’ll feel it if you print photos often.

  • Wakes up slowly. Not a dealbreaker. Just annoying.

  • Fingerprints everywhere. The glossy black looks great until you touch it.

  • No automatic double-sided printing. You have to flip pages yourself. I forgot this once and printed 20 pages single-sided by accident. My fault, but still.

  • It’s a little bulky. Measure your desk space first.
